About The Center...
The course is set in a beautiful Thai inspired
private home and retreat Center in magical Lucas Valley, Marin County,
in Northern California. Surrounded by hundreds of miles of rolling open
space hills and trails, a myriad of hummingbirds and hawks visit by day,
and coyotes and owls at night.
The Center invites guests into a courtyard
atrium with bamboo and bougainvillea, waterfall, and hot tub under the
stars. Spacious and sunlit, its floor to ceiling glass walls look out
upon Nature, gardens and open space as in the open style homes of the
East.
A welcoming open island kitchen invites all
to cook and eat together. The large main room provides comfortable floor
futons and cushions for massage practice by day, and Thai style beds at
night. Two baths and an outdoor hot tub allow time for relaxing baths
and soaks, and the hills and streams of open space invite students to
walk and enjoy the outdoors.

who is named for the famous Sanskrit Queen of the Ramayana. Dogs are a
welcome part of the homes and temples of Thailand, and so Sita carries
on that tradition.
Cooking and eating delicious fresh vibrant
food is an integral part of Thai culture and is a vital part of the course,
taking time to chop and prepare meals together family style in the kitchen.

emanate throughout the house. There is time for lots of tea and snack
breaks in addition to hearty main meals, and picnicking can be enjoyed
outside almost all year round.

that double for massage by day and comfortable Eastern style sleeping
at night. Students work and relax together in the spacious main rooms
by day, and arrange simple Thai style beds throughout the house at night.

being in your body to a whole new level.
The week begins with a visit to a wonderful
local Thai Buddhist Temple for an authentic experience of Thai culture
and fantastic homecooked Thai brunch. Throughout the week, students watch
informative videos of the culture and massage masters of Thailand, and
Kimberly shares personal stories of the people and country.
The week concludes with a simple but beautiful
Buddhist ceremony that conveys the spirit of transmission of this ancient
lineage. Students receive and perform a graduating two hour Thai massage
on each other - and all are amazed and thrilled with what ease they
succeed. By simply following along with Kimberly, without notes, they
realize how much they have learned in this intensive week - they
have provided a complete and authentic treatment that their patients loved.
Students are completely prepared to succeed in this art - and now
it is up to them to practice, practice and practice.
